Lymphoedema Physiotherapy

In treating lymphoedema, physiotherapists aim to restore the equilibrium between the load and the carrying capacity of the patient's lymphatic system in order to reduce oedema, restore limb function, and prevent further complications.

Deborah Fernandes, MISCP is a Leduc Manual Lymph Therapist and Lymphoedema Therapist. Although this specific method is given during University training, Deborah had the privilege  of  training directly  with Professor Albert Leduc in 2004 and 2009.

Lymphoedema Physiotherapy  may include:

• Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
• Compression therapy
• Pressotherapy
• Remedial Exercises
• Education and advice
